The R1 Carbon is designed for riders who enjoy frequent pedaling or cruising around town, as well as those who take their bike off-road on dirt trails. Its sleek design enhances performance and improves movability, making it great for off-road conditions. The extra padding ensures you won’t feel like you’re sitting on metal, even when going over bumps.

Built on a carbon fiber composite base, the R1 Carbon is both lightweight and incredibly strong, ensuring longevity without adding bulk. Wrapped in luxurious Italian leather, it delivers a premium feel with color-matched stitching that seamlessly blends with your bike’s design. 

One of the biggest complaints about the original seat was the lack of cushioning, making ridding feel like sitting on bare metal. The R1 Carbon changes that with a meticulously engineered three-layer foam system.

Difference Between the R2 & R1 Carbon Seats Read Before Purchasing

The R1 Carbon seat is perfect for riders looking for a significant comfort upgrade from the original seat while maintaining a sleek design. It’s ideal for those who frequently pedal, cruise around town, or ride on dirt trails. The extra padding absorbs bumps, making it far more comfortable than the stock seat.

One of the key design goals was to keep a narrow profile to match the bike’s aesthetic. However, due to this design, there are some limitations to long-term riding comfort. Based on my testing, mild discomfort starts setting in around 20-30 miles, though it's still a huge improvement over the original seat, which becomes painful after just 6 miles. Comfort is subjective and depends on body type, but for most riders, the R1 Carbon offers a much better experience than the stock seat.

That’s why I created the R2 Carbon—for riders who need even more comfort, plan to ride over 30 miles, or find narrow seats uncomfortable. If that sounds like you, the R2 Carbon will be the ideal choice! This new seat will be launching soon.

From my testing, the R2 Carbon performs exceptionally well for long-distance rides—I rode nearly 70 miles without discomfort. However, since it’s wider than the R1, it’s better suited for riders who use throttle more often than pedaling. The extra width provides superior comfort but can make pedaling a bit more challenging.

My goal is to design the best possible seat for every rider so that you can enjoy the most comfortable ride. Stay tuned for the R2 Carbon launch!

Each R1 Carbon seat is handmade to order, ensuring precision craftsmanship and long-lasting durability. Custom-designed to your preferences, it may take up to three weeks for delivery, all leather work is done by Nia Interiors Niainteriors.com

SR1 3Ddesign Warrants that the R1 Carbon Ristretto 512 e-bike seat will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from the date of purchase.
